We are honored to present Lori Desrosiers.

A well known proponent of spoken word in the Pioneer Valley, Lori Desrosiers commands the attention of literally thousands of poetry devotees through her regular host slot at Jester's open mic in Westfield Mass for over four years and her invaluable little email that goes out to hundreds of poets as well as existing as a well referenced blog site, "POETRY NEWS" .  On top of this she actually has time to work, study, learn, and write poems that are well published. Here is some further information about what this valued Society member is currently doing to contribute to the poetry scene.

Her poems "Your Hands", "The Storyteller" and "Raw Poetry" were published in the Fall 2006 edition of the Equinox literary magazine.

Her poem "From the Porch" was published in the Fall 2006 edition of The November 3rd Club, an online journal of political poetry.
Her poem "That Black Galleon" was recently accepted for publication in the Winter 2007 edition of The Ballard Street Poetry Journal.
She is studying for her MFA in Poetry at New England College in Henniker, NH. She will receive her degree in June 2008. She is currently studying with Anne Waldman.
Lori teaches English Composition at Westfield State College.
